Do you get cold when sledding? My kids and I do get cold when sledding and it seems to stop all of the fun. At our last neighborhood sledding adventure one of my neighbors brought in a fire pit. It was a good way to keep warm and the kids seemed to like it.

I usually prefer to do this sort of thing during the fall when you can do other activities like roast marshmallows or cook up some yummy hot dogs. With winter time I think your options are a little bit more limited. The thing has to be portable and able to hold a decent amount of wood. There are some models that use propane, but they are a little big to bring out to the sledding hill. Some of the smaller pits just don’t seem to get the job done for the winter time cold. A nice sized deep bowl like my neighbor brought seems to do the trick.

Now, if I could just keep my kids from throwing snowballs at it.
